About the Podcast
Some family secrets shape generations. Some change lives forever.
Secret Bloodlines is a documentary-style interview podcast exploring extraordinary true stories of finding lost families and true identities, family secrets, adoption, DNA discoveries, genealogy, and unexpected connections.
Each conversation illuminates truth, celebrates resilience, and reminds someone listening that they are not alone. The podcast is driven by a simple but profound belief: identity matters, and secrets revealed can become wounds healed.
The Story That Started It All
Secrets of the cHURTched
Secrets of the cHURTched, Lenora Howze's inaugural podcast, chronicled her extraordinary journey of discovering that she had been adopted at birth and, decades later, uncovering the truth that she was born into a secret relationship between a married pastor and one of his parishioners.
She was the church secret — a truth unearthed when, as an adult, she found and met both of her biological parents: her mother at work and her father at the church he pastored. They had not seen her since the day she was born and placed with Catholic Charities. Neither knew she was coming.
That journey changed everything. Secret Bloodlines expands the conversation beyond one woman's story to explore the remarkable journeys that lead people home to themselves.
